Bad bad...

Right,

so it's been one year since I last updated. Speaking of bad blog management. Anyway, to pick up where I left: let's start talking about cooking!
I've recently landed a volunteer job at the local art house film theater , and the day after tomorrow their annual dinner party is going to take place. Of course, I'll be attending. Everyone will bring a different dish and looking at what we'll eat is making me hungry. Black bean soup, salads, cakes, you name it, it's there. Of course, since I've only just started working with them, I want to impress my co-workers. So I've came up with a brilliant idea. I will be making A Cheesecake (capitals intended). And not just some cheesecake, no, it's going to be a strawberry sundae cheesecake.
I dug up the recipe in a cook book my boyfriend once bought me while scaveging in New York. It's title; I love Cheesecakes, by Mary Crownover. Basically, I love it. If possible, I'd use it every week, but then I wouldn't be able to impress anyone with my fabrications any more.
So my plan is to make it tomorrow evening. Of course, you will be treated to pictures. An actual slice will cost you a flight ticket to the Netherlands and considerable time. To tease you a little, here's a description of how it's supposed to look like.
Its crust will consist of chocolate filled cookies crushed with a mixture of butter. The filling is going to be made out of cream cheese, vanilla extract, cocoa, strawberries, and some lemon to add a pinch of sour.
The topping will be made of whipped cream and whole strawberries dipped in chocolate.
